Ok, So here we go. I came up with this beautiful idea of creating a blog that reviewed Birmingham, Alabama hotspots. I guess not even just Hotspots, everywhere! Restaurants, Stores, Boutiques, Parks, Museums and so on and so forth. I have to warn every reader, I can't write, I can't spell and I have no grammer. I will be writing this blog the way I talk. So, All of you grammer police and spelling police out there, You will have to put your guns away and deal with this blog as it will be an "off the cuff" writing about my adventures through Birmingham and the greater birmingham area for now, I may even venture further out, depending on how long my attention span lasts on this idea. ha.
I hope to be able to give the reader (God willing if there are any) a good review of the places I have visited. I want to be able to tell you what to expect, how customer service was, what interesting items you can find there, and sometimes list that item that is hard to find anywhere else.
I'm a born shopper, and good gracious, A born EATER, So there will be probably alot of stores and restaurants. I recently owned a clothing boutique so I feel I have a little experience to actually be able to review these stores unbiasedly on a professional level. My husband and I take much joy in cooking and everything it involves, neither of us have had any professional training but The Food Network is a major part of our life, And Williams-Sonoma a favorite store of ours. Not us pat us on the back, but, We can COOK! My Husband, Kevin, can grill like nobody's business. All of this to say that I trust we have some idea of what to look for in quality cooked food, and hopefully you will find our restaurant reviews informative and helpful. Also, overall, I am an Interior Designer, so, I will be reviewing much of what is visual. (or at least I would think I will be, might be too soon to tell, haha) I like beautiful things and hopefully will help show you where these beautiful things, and NOT so beautiful things are in Birmingham. Also, I may throw in a few recipes and tips that I might find to be "Birmingham related" aka, We made them at our house. ha.
OVERALL, I'm pretty pumped about this adventure. As I mentioned earlier, I was co-owner in a boutique for about a year but am no longer doing that, I'm slowly getting back into design, but since this economy isn't being so generous to my fellow clients, I'm not as slammed with business and the reader might expect. :) I'm sitting here in my PJ's trying to figure out the first place to go. Yes, Look at the time, It's 1:30pm- I spend alot of time in my PJ's and am proud of it. I will always take suggestions on where to go or what people are looking for. Please bear with me for a while as I do not truly understand how a Blog works still.
PS. Thank goodness for Spell check. I love how I already spelled Restaurant wrong. And how come "alot" is not a word?? I use it ALOT.
